Help out with our Summer Lunch Program

Volunteer opportunity for our summer lunch program. If you’ve helped out before cooking, prepping on the day of service, or helping serve meals at the Geneva Woods Housing Complex, or think you might enjoy spending time with friends engaged in these tasks, it is time to sign up again. Some training is required, but it can be done online.

6/1 – 8/18 except Friday, July 3. The food preparers help from 10-12 and the servers from 11:45-1. The Glory Hall Shelter & Soup Kitchen

We serve meals at the Glory Hall on the second and fourth Tuesday every month. For more information about how you can help, send an email to Carol Barril.

Ḵunéix̱ Hídi Northern Light United Church is a partner of Love, Inc., a collaborative of 24 local churches offering gap ministries and resources to people in need.

We have supported a “bucket ministry” for many years, providing cleaning supplies to families moving into permanent housing.

Family Promise of Juneau

Family Promise of Juneau provides shelter to families who are experiencing homelessness and the Rapid Rehousing Program, which offers rental assistance and case management to families at risk of losing housing. Ḵunéix̱ Hídi Northern Light United Church hosts families 4 weeks each year.
